Inventory
Inventory
You have the formulations, the products, the containers and the production facility all worked out and ready to rumble.
What you need now is some serious inventory to keep this rolling once the ball starts rolling.
We have added more and more inventory space as we moved on. Not only to keep pace with demand, but also to stay afloat and running if things don´t work out as planned.
I remember the ash cloud (Iceland) vividly. During those times, some ingredients were hard to get by. Since they can and do come from all around the globe, they need shipping. During those times, transportation was halted.
If you hadn´t sufficient inventory, your modern production facility is sitting idle.
And that´s just one thing that comes to mind. What about, truck breakdown, sickness, capacity failure, overloads, ...
When you have to take all these things in consideration, you better have some idle storage somewhere along the line or you might have to disappoint the customer by not being able to ship on time.
We won't let this happen and have sufficient inventory to survive all of the mentioned stuff and then some. This is an expensive option but the only one that will stand the test of time.
